IS YOUR CANINE A CUISINE CONNOISSEUR OR FELINE A FUSSY FOODIE?
WHY IS YOUR PET'S DIET SO IMPORTANT?
The current and ideal weight of your pet
Your animal's metabolism
Any potential allergies or preexisting conditions
Condition of your pet's skin and coat
IS MAX OR LUCY REALLY JUST 'BIG BONED' OR...
Could they use to lose a few extra pounds, dare we say go on a diet (yikes)?
HOW DOES NUTRITION IMPACT YOUR PET?
Did you know that pets need to eat their veggies too? Both kitties and doggies should have a balanced diet that not only includes protein, but also vitamins, vegetables, and carbohydrates. Limit people food, treats, or “table scraps” to no more than a tenth of your pet’s diet.
You should adjust the portions of your dog or cat’s meals according to their metabolism and activity level. Your pup may become more lazy in the winter time or your kitty takes to sunbathing in the summer time. Whatever the case, don’t strictly feed your pet by the suggested guidelines.
Dogs and cats flourish on routine and do best with a consistent feeding schedule. Free feeding or grazing can lead to over eating, accidents, and potentially behavior challenges.
