In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have implemented policies and procedures that align with the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association (WSVMA) as well as the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). These temporary regulations are fluid and are updated frequently.

We continue to be committed to providing our clients and their furry family members with the best care in the safest manor possible. While our services may be limited, it is important that we follow these procedures and adhere to the guidelines not only to avoid the spread of Covid-19, but also to prevent the strain on emergency veterinary hospitals and 24 hour clinics. For questions or concerns please contact info@seatownvet.com or to get more information of the impact of Covid-19 on veterinary care please visit the Washington State University Veterinary College website.

March 8th, 2022

With the state mask mandate being lifted, we are starting to feel safety and a sense of normalcy returning to Seattle. That being said, we are once again welcoming our clients back in the building! Although the state mast mandate is being lifted, we still request that you wear a mask while inside this medical facility to help keep our hard working staff healthy. We are all doing our best to adjust. Given the shortage of available veterinary staffing please allow us to proceed with an abundance of caution.

What this means for you:

  • Meet us at the front door!
IF: There are no other clients in the lobby please come in and introduce yourself to our client service representatives.
IF: There is another client in our lobby, please call or text our office upon arrival to let our staff know that you have arrived.
  • A team member will bring you and your pet inside and into a room.
  • Some of our doctors, in order to limit the amount of time face-to-face with each client, will be doing their exams in our treatment area prior to joining you in the room.
  • We ask that if you or a member of your household is experiencing any Cold/Flu/Covid symptoms, please have a friend or other family member bring your pet while you stay available to consult with your doctor over the phone.

Thank you so much for your continued patience and understanding.
Best Wishes,
Dr. Emery and the Seatown Veterinary Team

Our Newest Doctor August 2021: Dr. Jarchow

Dr. Jarchow is passionate about companion animal behavior and implements strategies to reduce patient stress in the clinic setting. Her other interests include ophthalmology, allergy management, and all things feline!

Dr. Jarchow grew up in Snohomish Washington and studied environmental conservation before attending veterinary school at Washington State University. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Jarchow can be found cuddling her two cats Cali and Roo, and her newest addition little pitbull Peanut, tending to her extensive houseplant collection or exploring the local breweries in Ballard.

New Doctor December 2020: Dr. Kimmell

Dr. Laura Kimmell is a PNW local originally from Portland, Oregon. She has a strong interest in internal medicine cases, particularly the management of diabetes, kidney disease, endocrine disease and  gastrointestinal conditions. When not practicing veterinary medicine Dr. Kimmell and her rescue pup Daphne can be found enjoying all the PNW has to offer, while her two cats Leia and Dahlia prefer to stay at home. She’s an avid hiker and the occasional triathlete. She has a passion for travel which has led her to volunteer with international veterinary aid organizations such as World Vets (local to Gig Harbor) to provide free veterinary care for pets in Central and South America.

Recurring annual exams, routine vaccine updates, and preventative testing help to limit potentially dangerous inflictions.
